Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how the STP Quiz application processes information related to its use. The goal is to give the user transparency about what is (or is not) collected, on what basis and for how long.

2. Data Controller

For the purposes of Law No. 3/2016 of 18 February (Personal Data Protection Law of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe) and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), the data controller is the STP Quiz development team, reachable at vagneripg@gmail.com.

3. Minimization Principle

STP Quiz was designed from the ground up to process the minimum information needed to function. As a general rule, the application does not collect personally identifiable data nor communicate information to external servers.

4. Data Processed

The application stores locally, on the device itself, the following data:

• Quiz progress (number of correct answers per category);
• Usage preferences (for example, the selected level filter).

This data is stored through the operating system's local preferences mechanism and is never transmitted outside.

5. Purposes of Processing

The data above is processed only to:

• Allow the user to resume quizzes where they left off;
• Show overall progress on the home screen.

6. Legal Basis

The described processing is based on the user's implicit consent, expressed through installation and use of the app, and on the legitimate interest of providing a functional and continuous experience. The user can revoke this consent at any time by deleting the data through the "Clear Cache" option or by uninstalling the app.

7. Data Retention

Data is kept while the application is installed. Deletion is immediate when the user taps "Clear Cache" or uninstalls the application. There are no remote copies, cloud backups or server logs.

8. No Sharing with Third Parties

STP Quiz does not sell, rent or make information available to third parties, including advertising partners, analytics tools or marketing platforms. The application includes no ad networks or behavioral trackers.

9. Security

Data is protected by the operating system's isolated storage mechanisms (application sandbox). Users are encouraged to adopt suitable device security practices, such as PIN or biometric lock.

10. International Transfers

No international data transfers occur, since processing takes place exclusively on the user's device.

11. Rights of the Data Subject

In accordance with applicable law, the user has the right to:

• Information about the data processed;
• Access and copy of the data;
• Rectification of inaccurate information;
• Erasure ("right to be forgotten");
• Limitation of or objection to processing;
• Portability;
• Withdrawal of consent, without retroactive effect;
• Lodging a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

12. Minors

The application is intended for a general audience. If used by minors, supervision by the legal guardian is recommended. Since no personally identifiable data is collected, no specific parental consent is requested.

13. Changes to the Policy

This Policy may be updated to reflect legal or functional changes. The version in force is the one displayed on this page, identified by the "last updated" date at the top.
