Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing or using the STP Quiz application, the user declares that they have read, understood and accept these Terms of Use. If they do not agree, they must stop using the app and uninstall it from the device.

2. Purpose

STP Quiz is a mobile application intended for educational and cultural purposes, with questions and answers about São Tomé and Príncipe — history, geography, culture, food, languages, music and related topics. The content is purely informative and may contain inaccuracies; official sources are recommended for academic or professional use.

3. Use of the Application

The user undertakes to use the application only for its intended purposes, in compliance with applicable law. Any use that (a) infringes third-party rights, (b) attempts to compromise the application's security or (c) seeks unauthorized access to systems or data is prohibited.

4. Intellectual Property

All visual, textual, sound and brand elements of STP Quiz are protected by copyright and registered trademarks under São Tomé and Príncipe law and applicable international treaties. Reproduction, distribution or modification without express authorization is forbidden.

5. Data Collection and Processing

The application has been designed under the data minimization principle. It does not collect or transmit personally identifiable data. Quiz progress is stored exclusively on the user's device through the operating system's local preferences mechanism. Data processing, whenever applicable, observes: Law No. 3/2016 of 18 February — Personal Data Protection Law of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe; Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), where the user is in an EU Member State.

6. User Rights

Without prejudice to other legal guarantees, the user has the right to:

• Access and obtain information about their data;
• Request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• Request erasure ("right to be forgotten");
• Object to processing or request its limitation;
• Withdraw consent previously given, without retroactive effect.

These rights can be exercised directly in the app, through the "Clear Cache" option (in Settings).

7. Limitation of Liability

STP Quiz is provided "as is", with no guarantee of uninterrupted operation or freedom from errors. The authors are not liable for direct or indirect damages resulting from the use or impossibility of use of the application, except where such limitation is not allowed by applicable law.

8. Changes to the Terms

These Terms may be changed at any time. The version in force is the one displayed on this page. Continued use of the application after publication of new terms constitutes acceptance of them.

9. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the law of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe. For any dispute the São Tomé District Court has jurisdiction.
